Access to our SEP meetings

As a member of SEP, you’d sign up for one of three core groups, which meet six times a year:

  • Wedding & private events,
  • Public events owners and key suppliers
  • Venues and venue suppliers

On top of your core groups, you can come along to our SEP general membership meetings taking place on the alternate six month meeting of the core group. Meaning you can come along to up to 6 or 12 groups per year, it’s up to you.

At our meetings you’ll link up and grow relationship with other event professionals, learn from our meeting talks (focused talks and learnings within the core groups), showcase your business, here about new member offers and opportunities.

To join our collaborative community, you have to be experienced and professional in your chosen area of business, supply annually relevant PL insurance and industry qualification documentation, and provide two industry references.

1-9 full time staff £350+vat per annum (or £35+vat per month) + £35+vat admin fee on first month 
10+ full time staff £550+vat per annum (or £55+vat per month) + £55+vat admin fee on first month

  • Exhibit at all six of our annual Surrey Event & Venue Showcases (partnered with Guide for Brides) across Surrey, as members of SEP will costs you £600 for all six events, saving you £1,200 on the non-member attendance fees
  • As a venue or organiser, saving 10% on just 12 DJ’s, 3 marquee bookings and 5 caterers per annum, will save (or earn!) you an additional £4,400 (on average) per annum.
  • Finally, what value do you put on continued business support, a community that grows business and link ups that over time will generate you an income, all based around a quality membership platform that allows you to build these relationships.

Included in this membership fee is meeting fees and refreshments at our meetings. Also included is the membership process, induction meeting, initial business review, CSR programme and all proactive marketing previously mentioned. Optional and discounted extras include training programme and members socials.

NO annual contract, NO cancellation fee and you can stop your membership at any time. AKA No risk!

Terms and conditions of membership

As part of the SEP membership, all businesses must adhere to our three core terms and conditions of membership, which are:

  • Professionalism: Members must show and adhere to professionalism and courtesy at all times with both it’s clients and fellow members. This not only protects you but also our other members through protection of our brand.
  • Commitment: Members must commit to the SEP brand, our ways of operation and culture of support. To regularly attend our meetings, promote our brand and its members.
  • Giving back: Our strong CSR ethos requires our membership to support local SCN charities where they can, to take part in our active programme of attending charity events occasionally, championing and supporting their good work.
